The new dimension of functional sportiness.

BMW and motor sport have constituted an inseparable unit since the beginning. It's therefore not surprising that the commitment in motor sport has a key impact on the character of BMW products.

The launch of the BMW M3 at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1985 provides an impressive demonstration of the company's sustained commitment to sportiness. Designed as a basic model for the near-production Group A of international touring-car sport by BMW Motorsport GmbH, the new BMW M3 is intended not only as a sports car for the racing track but also as a stylish car for the open road. The new four-cylinder M Power engine with 4-valve technology is at the heart of the high-performance saloon. It packs 195 bhp and assists the M3 in achieving outstanding driving performance. It offers the best everyday utility and an unmistakable visual profile - a new feature for saloons in the compact top class. The M3 was first delivered to customers at the end of 1986 and almost 18,000 cars were manufactured until production came to an end in December 1990. It formed the basis for a success story that its successors are continuing until today.

Velgi kazhkas diskutuotino. Man labai ydomu kokeis kriterijais nustatinejami tie Mobile Tradition. Visa komplekta tu kriteriju reiktu ishsiaishkinti. Tex rashyti uzhklausima y BMW AG:D

Uzhklausimas ishsiustas, belieka laukti. Jei gausiu acakyma - butinai papastinsiu shion temon.

P.S. Nepaklauseu butent apie E30 M3 modely, bet apskritai, nuo kada ir kaip, tampa automobilis Mobile Tradition. Kol kas tik tiek: ...Dear Mr Jurevicius,

Dear Mr Jurevicius,

Thank you for your email.

The standard rule for us is that we get the cars 15 years after the end of
the whole series. Nevertheless this is no rigid rule and has sometimes been
overruled in both directions. The final decision is of course up to the
responsible people leading the involved BMW departments.

But if you want to know if a certain model is already covered by BMW Mobile
Tradition, just tell what type it is.

Thank you for your reply.

As I said the rule is not as strictly as it seems. First, the E30 series is
not yet covered by BMW Mobile Tradition. The M3 is sometimes an exemption as
far as it is necessary for certain purposes. There is also a difference
between technical and communicational matters. I'm afraid I can't explain
further, because these things are decided strictly internally and there is
no "official source".

Sheip gal jau ir butu galima sakyti E28 esant Mobile Tradition, nes nuo paskutinio modelio gamybos yra praejia 15 metu...Bet kaip p. Harz sake, ne visuomet reiktu vadovautis shiuo nustatinejimu. Youngtimeris gal kol kas...Bet tarkim exkliuzyvus butu galima jau mineti, tam tikrais atvejais kaip ir E30 M3, prie Mobile Tradition...Deja patikrinti shios oficialei informacijos nera galimybiu:/

E28 M535 turetu pagal visus kriterijus buti priskirtas MOBILE TRADITION

kazkur turiu BMW Mobile Tradition Parts Catalog, gal kokiu 2000 metu - HTK vadinasi - Historischer Teilekatalog. be legendiniu modeliu cia yra ir visi E30, visi E28, visi E23 i ji itraukti. idomu, ar tai reiskia, kad sitie modeliai priskirti Mobile Tradition? ar tai tik reiskia, kad jie baigti gaminti daugiau nei pries 15 metu..?

Na butu daug diskusiju del shio reikalo. Juk sakau, kad kai kurie modeliai yra priskiriami Mobile Tradition pagal ETK. Pvz E30 dar nera ytrauktas y Mobile Tradition pasirinkty ETK. Bent jau ash naudoju tai kaip orientyra...
