Čia taip netyčia ieškodamas visai kitokio pobūdžio informacijos radau štai ką
Since its demise in 1981, the BMW M1 has been a car that the motoring public has fervently craved a successor for. Last year, BMW renewed some of those latent desires with its bold M1 Homage concept but long before that Luigi Colani had an M2 design of his own to offer.
Colani’s 1981 M2 was purely a styling exercise, and offered a completely revolutionary new path for the BMW flagship. That Colani had become rather preoccupied with aerodynamic form is readily evident here.
First entirely synthetic monocoque for a small sportscar based on a BMW 700
1963/4 Colani-BMW 700 the world’s first vehicle with a self-supporting plastic monocoque car body. Weighing a mere 350kg, the small sportscar with its two-cylinder boxer engine has a Cd factor of 0.22 but hit speeds of 200km/h. The innovative and beautiful vehicle sadly never went into series production.
